Three Days Off

I talked to some designers recently about joining our upcoming Summit, and one of them had concerns. She was worried about taking three days off from her business to join us. It is a three-day event that takes place during regular business hours or the majority of the day, depending on your location. It’s designed that way for a reason, given the training and transformation attendees will experience.

My heart went out to her. Feeling like you can’t take three days off for your business and do something for yourself while also maintaining your clients is sad. I told her that my intention with Summit is to help you get multiple 3-days off. I want you to have plenty of 3-day vacations that you can take and enjoy throughout the year.

That’s how it’s supposed to be.

What happens to us is that when things aren’t going the way we want, and our business isn’t growing, we tend to work harder. In reality, it’s like trying to push a boulder uphill. You’re struggling and putting all your effort into it, but that doesn’t work. And putting in even more effort still won’t work.

The idea that you have to be a one-woman show and that you have to work harder is plain exhausting. In the end, it does nothing to improve your business. Now, there are times when you will have to hustle to get things done. But to change your situation so that your business improves and runs better isn’t hustle – it’s a paradigm shift.

The reality is that you don’t know what you don’t know. That piece is what’s been missing from your business and causes you to work harder. That all comes from the masculine side of energy. When you tap into the feminine side of your energy, you can embrace creativity, expansiveness, generosity, and inclusiveness instead of running after them.

This is part of what I’ll be talking about at this year’s Summit. I’ll share with you how to make that shift and let go of old beliefs that hold you back.
