Stepping into a Wealth Consciousness Mindset

I want to share a story with you about me, and my first bump up into selling a very expensive product. I was working for a fancy furniture store, and I’d just been hired for the design studio, but I had to do six weeks on the floor first to get to know the product, systems and all the inner workings of the business.

My Personal Story about Wealth Consciousness

One day, a mother and daughter came in looking for lamps. We went through the store and scoured all the corners and found these beautiful alabaster lamps. They were stunning, and just really exquisite. At least, until I looked at the price; they were $1,800. Now, we’re talking about 1990, so this happened almost 30 years ago. I suppose they would be $5,000 or $7,000 now.

The big deal was I had no idea lamps could cost $1,800! Just one lamp, not both of them, only one.

And I was even more amazed that my customers bought them without hesitation. They just thought they were beautiful and said, “Okay, fine.” They paid cash, and we wrapped the lamps up, and they went out the door, happy as can be.

For me, it was a great experience because it was my first bump up against realizing that other people didn’t have the same money values as me. That’s the wealth consciousness piece. That was the beginning of learning that whole concept.

Working in a furniture store, which was straight commission, is a tough job and I really had to produce. It did give me the opportunity to learn how to sell high-end products and to get my money story out of my client’s jobs. Because obviously, if I didn’t do it, I was not going to have a job, and I was not going to eat.

What is Really Happening to You

As a single practitioner, you don’t always have opportunities to work that out. You don’t get 5 or 6 people a day to present something to and see if they will buy it or not. If you get 5 or 6 a month, that’s pretty good. So, it could take you a very long time to work through the wealth consciousness piece so that you can move up market.

The reality is, when you source a lamp and it comes up at $1,800, $3,000, or $5,000, your reaction is going to be, “Oh, no, that’s not going to work. I need to redo that.” Then, you’ll go back and re-research it and find something for only $500 or $600 that you’re reasonably sure you can sell because that’s a more comfortable number for you, that’s what you end up putting into your job.

That little piece right there, deciding the client won’t pay that much, is the wealth consciousness piece. That’s what stops you from stepping into wealthy clients and high-end jobs.

If you work for a showroom and you’ve got a lot of high-end products around, you have to learn how to sell them, or you won’t have a job for long.

However, if that’s not your circumstance, then you may be interested in this because I know exactly how to walk you through and release your old, limiting beliefs. I’ll be sharing exactly how to shift your wealth consciousness into something that supports you in what you want, instead of getting in your way all the time.

The Next Step to Mastering Your Mindset

That’s what the upcoming Design Biz Summit 2019 is all about. It’s about mastering your mindset. It’s about sharing with other designers who are caring and loving and in the same place you are.

It’s where you can learn how to manifest what you want using the laws, force, and abundance of the universe. It’s also about dancing! We dance out the old misconceptions and hidden beliefs and welcome in a new and creative transformation. It is three days in November in Scottsdale, Arizona, at a very high-end resort, and it’s a lovely time.

We have a lot of fun too, and I’d love for you to attend. If this is something you’ve been thinking about, or wanting to do, it’s time to make a decision. It’s time to end the struggle and step into the money, time, and freedom you really want. Hope to see you there!
